The Bangladesh government is working earnestly to move the country from climate risk to prosperity – The Environment and Climate Change Minister, Bangladesh

Mr. Shahab Uddin, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change ( MoEFCC), Bangladesh, said, “The government is working sincerely to take Bangladesh, an innocent victim of climate change, towards prosperity under the opportune leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”

He said, “Bangladesh has successfully engaged itself with the global community to play a major role in the fight against climate change in various international forums.”



The environment minister said these things while meeting the minister in his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on the 22nd instant with the delegation of a member of Belgium and the former vice chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Professor Jean-Pascal van Ypersele.

The environment minister said, “Bangladesh is thanking Belgium as well as the European Union for the decade-long support to Bangladesh in combating the adverse effects of climate change and protecting nature and the environment.”

He said, “We are willing to work closely with Belgium in efforts to prevent the adverse effects of climate change and build a climate-resilient green world.”
