Bangladesh and Nordic countries to work together to build a climate resilient future:  Bangladesh Environment Minister

The Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in Bangladesh, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, stated that Bangladesh and the Nordic countries will collaborate for a more environmentally friendly and climate-resilient future.

He appreciated the Nordic countries’ commitment to protecting the environment and stated that Bangladesh will also continue to work for a sustainable environment.

He stated these things as the chief guest at the event celebrating Nordic Day at Hotel Radisson in Dhaka on March 05, 2024. This information was informed in a press release sent by the ministry.

Nordic countries recognized Bangladesh’s independence on February 4, 1972, laying the foundation for a solid relationship based on solidarity and support. Emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation, the minister praised the Nordic region’s enchanting landscapes.

The environment minister outlined various areas of cooperation including climate resilience, technological advancement, education and health.

He showed interest in working together more closely to address global issues like climate change, innovation, and cultural exchange. He said that the friendship between Bangladesh and the Nordic countries gives hope and can lead to a better future for all.
