Dhaka tops the list of polluted cities again
The capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka, is one of the most polluted cities in the world. Dhaka is Number One in the list related to this. Dhaka’s Air Quality Index (AQI) score has been recorded at 195, which is ‘unhealthy’ according to air quality. Switzerland-based Air Quality monitoring technology firm has released the list.
In this list, Kolkata, the capital of India’s West Bengal, is in the second position with an AQI score of 188, while New Delhi, the capital of India, is the third with a score of 183.
Bosnia’s capital Sarajevo in fourth place, and China’s Shenyang Hus in fifth place with a score of 170. Sixth-placed Croatia’s Zagreb scored 166. India’s commercial capital Mumbai also scores 166, ranking 7th in the list.
An AQI score of 100 to 200 is considered ‘unhealthy.’ Similarly, an AQI score of 201 to 300 is considered a medical emergency.
In this situation, children, elderly and sick patients advise to restrict indoor activities and others outside the home.
