People of all levels should involve in protecting the environment
Environment activists have commented that involving people makes it possible to protect the environment. The speakers in an agitator said this at a press conference organized at the Dhaka Reporters Unit titled ‘BAPA-Ben Special Conference and Environment Rally’-2023 and providing related information’.
The agitators said, “If the people are not involved, if the people are not aware, the environmental movement and environmental protection are impossible. Concerning that, Bangladesh Environment Network (BEN) and Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA) will work together.
Alamgir Kabir, member secretary of BAPA, said, “On January 14 of 2023, a conference will hold at Dhaka University’s Annex Building on ‘Bangladesh’s water, river and beel problems, and solutions.’
The conference will have two sessions, namely expert and general. Experts can participate in expert sessions, and people from all levels can participate in general sessions. Authors and researchers can submit research papers and reports on Haor, Beel, and Rivers at the conference by December 30, 2022.

Various universities, educational institutes, research institutes, and socio-cultural-environmentalist organizations have also been invited to join the role of organizers from the press conference.
