The Bangladesh High Court is concerned about polluted Dhaka’s environment

The Bangladesh High Court stated that Dhaka’s rivers and air are polluted, and the city is in poor condition. We are concerned about Dhaka’s environment.

On January 21, the High Court, led by Justice KM Kamrul Quader and Justice Khizir Hayat, addressed a writ concerning illegal brick kilns.

The High Court made this comment during the hearing of the rule to close illegal brick kilns to prevent air pollution in Dhaka and neighboring districts.

Senior Advocate Manzil Morshed was heard in favor the writ petition in the court. Barrister Muntasir Uddin Ahmed was present at the hearing for the Department of Environment, Bangladesh.

The court said, industrialization is definitely necessary for the country’s economic development, but it must be done while protecting the environment. How much autism is increasing in the country, is the government keeping track of it? In this case, environmental pollution has an impact.

Regarding the non-implementation of the order to close illegal brick kilns, the High Court said, we can punish. But is everything done by punishment? We feel embarrassed about how many times we have to give directions about these things?
