Not with a broom, the dirt will be cleaned by a vacuum sweeping truck
Bangladesh’s government is going to formulate policies to prevent and reduce air pollution in the capital Dhaka. Dirt will be cleansed using vacuum sweeping trucks instead of a broom.
On the other hand, the High-powered Committee has decided to include 12 things in the policy including the strict enforcement of conditional to prevent air pollution and medical waste rules in the design approval of the building.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the High Power Committee on Monday (February 3, 2020) in the chair of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change to formulate policies to prevent and reduce pollution around Dhaka.
It is to be noted that on November 27, 2019, the High Court directed the Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change to form a high-powered committee to take effective measures on an urgent basis to reduce air pollution around the capital city.
