The environment of St. Martin on the verge of destruction: State Minister for Tourism, Bangladesh

Mahbub Ali, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Bangladesh, has said, “The nature of St. Martin’s Island is on the verge of extinction.



However, we are taking the initiative to protect the island as per the instructions of the Prime Minister. The world-famous St. Martin will further develop as a foreign tourist destination by saving nature. “

He spoke as the chief guest at an exchange of views at the St. Martin’s Management and Coordination Center.

“Work is underway to implement 13 recommendations of the Prime Minister’s Office to make St. Martin more beautiful. The beautification will change the standard of living of the islanders.

Every development involves local employment. However, the most challenging issue is the destruction of the nature of the coral island. As a result, the Prime Minister has strict instructions regarding the island. We are following it word by word,” the state ministry added.

“The inter-ministerial decision would not allow more construction of buildings here. In no way can the environment and biodiversity of this coral island destroy further. Eco-tourism will develop here to attract foreign tourists.



An eco-tourism resort exists here. In addition to protecting the island, more arrangements will make with the locals to attract foreigners. Coral islands St. Martinare is the valuable property of Bangladesh and the Globe. The Prime Minister is very sincere about this island,” the state ministry continued.

Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar, said, “We are working to build tourist-friendly coral islands by protecting the environment, environment, and biodiversity.

As per the prime minister’s recommendation, we are working to enhance the security of tourists. People from all walks of life, from all ministries to all walks of life, need to work together to bring St. Martin to the world and to build a modern tourism industry.”
