A bicycle rally was held at Dhaka on the occasion of the release of the Bangladesh’s liberation war-based movie “1971’s Those Days.”
Respecting the slogan “May grief be strength, may grief be awakening,” “1971 Seisab Din (Those days in 1971” movie release occasion organized by Bangladesh Tourist Cyclist to demand
“Healthy film development and Citizens’ good health, environment protection awareness” was held on August 11, 2023, in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
It should note that the movie “1971 Those Days” was sponsored by the Government of Bangladesh. Based on the events of the Great Liberation War of Bangladesh, the use of bicycles as an environment-friendly vehicle is prominently displayed.
The rally started at 11 AM from the National Museum in Dhaka’s premises and ended at Shilpakala Academy. In the rally, Bangladesh Tourist Cyclist president Md.
Aminul Islam Tubbus served as the chief coordinator, and cyclists from different areas of Dhaka city, along with Bangladesh Tourist Cyclist, Bangladesh Cycle Lane Implementation Parishad’s cyclists, officials, film directors, and actors, environmentalists, and climate activists participated.
On the eve of the start of the rally, film director Hridi Haque, actor Ferdous Ahmed, actress Tareen Jahan, co-actor-actress Leetu Anam, Sajal Noor, Sanjida Preeti, Saju Khadem, Bangladesh Tourist Cyclist Md. Aminul Islam Tubbus, Brain and Life Hospital Director Mr. Fakhrul Hossain, Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, an eminent environmentalist and engineer who advises the environment and climate-related news portal “Green Page,” and some cyclists gave speeches.
Speakers praised the film for its depiction of the great freedom fighter and its emphasis on using bicycles as an eco-friendly vehicle.
Speakers said that as a result, the new generation will get to know the true story of the Bangladesh Honorable Liberation War and will be encouraged to use eco-friendly bicycles as means of transportation. Freedom fighter Manjur Hossain Isa, the National Human Rights Association chairman, hosted the entire event.
