July/2021 is the world’s warmest month
This year (2021), the temperature recorded for the month “July” is the world’s warmest month to date, according to the data of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), United States. It’s just another piece of information to point out the current environmental crisis.
Rick Spinrad, the NOAA Administrator, said, “Generally, July is the warmest month of the year. But the temperature recorded in July 2021 was the warmest July month ever recorded.
Referring to the data from the National Centres for Environmental Information, Spinrad said, “This record is a new addition to the tedious and disruptive path that climate change has created in the world.”
According to the data, the combined land and ocean surface temperature was 0.93 °C (1.98 °F) above the 20th-century average of 15.8 °C (60.4 °F).
The average temperature of the earth is calculated by averaging the temperature at the surface of the sea and air temperature over land.
It is the warmest month since temperatures began to record 142 years ago. Earlier, the recorded highest temperature was in July 2016. Later, the temperature was the same in 2019 and 2020. This year the temperature was 0.02 °F higher than previously recorded
One warning issued by United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change (IPCC) on its six assessment report (AR6) is, “Global Warming is expected to reach 1.5 degree C by 2030.”
”Scientists had given the latest analysis of how climate change is taking place around the world,” Spinrad added.
