Kashmir is burning in a terrible heat wave

Global warming has also affected India’s Kashmir. A temperature of 36 degrees Celcius was recorded there. After 25 years it got so hot there. The people of Kashmir have been affected by the extreme heat. Praying for rain in this situation.

Generally, the temperature in Kashmir does not rise above 30 degrees even during summer. As a result, there is no need for air conditioners and fans.

But people are in trouble because the temperature has risen so much in Kashmir. Water level of river Jhelum is decreasing due to heat wave. Rice and vegetable fields have dried up.

An alert has already been issued by the Horticulture Department of Kashmir. It has warned the owners and workers of various orchards, including apples and walnuts in Kashmir.

It has been informed what measures should be taken this summer to save the garden. It has been asked to water the garden immediately if there is a watering facility. The warning said to take measures to maintain moisture at the base of the tree.

According to government officials, the beautiful region of Kashmir experienced a refreshing rainfall last March and April. Then it didn’t rain any more.

Plants need water for this. Apple trees need the most water. So, the apple will not be good without water. The production of apples will also see a decrease. Insect infestation is also feared in dry fruits.

According to the Meteorological Department, India, an unusual heat wave is going on in Kashmir. There may be light rain in the coming days. There may be little relief in the coming months. But there is no chance of heavy rain right now.

Due to the scorching heat wave, there is a significant demand for summer vacations in schools in Kashmir. The government has decided that schools will remain closed for the next two days up to class V.

Apart from this, the school for the rest of the children will continue from eight in the morning to one in the afternoon.

There is a lot of discussion on social media about this directive. There is a concern about whether children can go to school so early and if waking up so early will harm their health.

Kashmir, however, enjoys an extensive winter holiday season. Also, how many school days will the children have if they get a summer vacation?

The government has advised children and the elderly not to go out in the sun at noon. Even then, if you go out, you are asked to take an umbrella. Drinking plenty of water is also advised.

Sonam Lotus, from the Srinagar Meteorological Office, explained that this situation happens when there is prolonged absence of rain.

The temperature rises and does not come down easily. This heat wave is seen in Kashmir this time. It will continue for a few more days. Then there may be light rain.

Professor Tasnim Mubarak of Sher-i-Kashmir University’s Department of Agricultural Sciences said that this heatwave shows how climate change is affecting. It will affect the shape and color of the apple.
