Iran to lose $7 billion in the outbreak of locusts

In the last few decades, It has seen the worst epidemics of locusts in Iran. As a result, the country is at risk of losing crops, worth 7 billion dollars. So, Iran can use the army to fight the locusts.
Mohammad Reza Mir, a spokesman of the Crop Protection Agency, Ministry of Agriculture of Iran, said, ”
About 200,000 hectares of agricultural land in 31 provinces of Iran ruined by the outbreak of desert locust.”
The affected areas are ranging from Pakistan to the Iraqi border.
He added, “The army has promised to co-operate in combating locusts. But it is difficult to use Military vehicles in remote areas to fight against Locust.”.
