Sharing knowledge and experiences to combat plastic and polythene pollution was held at Phathorghata, Bangladesh
An exchange of learning and experiences has taken place to protect the Sundarbans and surrounding areas from plastic and polythene pollution.
The meeting took place at 11 am on December 23 in the Pathorghata Upazila Parishad auditorium as part of the Transformation organization’s Sundarbans project.
The meeting was attended by a discussion on the ill effects of using polythene and plastic. The youth pledged to work together to protect the environment of the Sundarbans and the coast.
Fifty young people committed to avoiding plastic and polythene to protect the environment.
Later, members of the Sundarban Youth Forum conducted a drainage awareness campaign in the city using fogger machines to protect against mosquitoes.
