An American billionaire has decided to donate all his money to tackle climate change
Yvon Chouinard, an American billionaire, decided to donate his lifetime earnings worth hundreds of millions of dollars to fight against climate change and prevent global warming. Ivan’s wife and two children decided to donate their earnings to the exact cause.
Yvon Chouinard is the owner of the famous American clothing brand Patagonia, Inc. The current value of his company is more than 3000 million dollars. Yvon announced that all his company’s income would be donated to combat the climate crisis, protect biodiversity and protect forests.
He will regularly donate crores of earnings to the experts and organizations working in this regard. The same has been said by Yvonne Chouinard’s wife and two adult children.
Evan posted his decision in a letter on the company’s website. He wrote, “From now on, our only shareholder is this world.”
He also writes, ‘If there is any last hope to save the green world, then we must forget about business and do what we can with our resources. This is all we can do for now.
