Belgium may donate in the field of Bangladesh Environmental Research

Dr. Hasan Mahmud, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Bangladesh, spoke about the possibility of opening the door of bilateral cooperation with Belgium in the field of Environmental Research. The Minister is now on a tour of Belgium.



The Minister said this after discussing with Zakia Khattabi, Minister for Climate, Environment, Sustainable Development and Green Deal of Belgium, at the Centre for Environmental Science of Hasselt University in Maasmechelen, Brussels.

Several scientists and researchers, including Mahbub Hasan Saleh, Ambassador of Bangladesh at Belgium, Professor Bernard Hugden, Rector, Centre for environmental science and Robert Malina, Director of Hasselt University Maasmechelen, Brussels, among others, were present at the discussion.

The Minister mentioned that Belgium, a leading country that reduces carbon emissions, harmful to the environment and the human body, will benefit Bangladesh by building an environmentally friendly green economy, supporting Bangladesh through technology and research.

He was continued and said, “It will benefit the students of our country if the universities of Bangladesh Jointly conduct research cooperation with the Hasselt University in this regard.”
