September 16 is recognized as International Day for the prevention of the Ozone layer; the Ozone layer is at risk

September 16 was World Ozone Day. The day is celebrated on September 16, every year, to create global awareness about the loss of the Ozone layer. This day is being celebrated in Bangladesh like other countries in the world.
The Vienna Conference on Wednesday marks the 35th anniversary of Ozone layer protection.
This year, the UN Environment Program Day has set the theme – Ozone layer to save lives: 35 years of Ozone layer protection.
The conference has united the world to eliminate the gas that causes holes in the Earth’s Ozone layer. In this context, UNEP Executive Director Inger Anderson said that ozone layer protection had become a model of international cooperation.
I congratulate everyone involved in this deal for 35 years of success to protect the Ozone layer. He also added that his kind of cooperation proves that people can solve global problems by working together.
