Bangladesh government is taking steps to stop the hydraulic horns of vehicles to ensure a safe environment

Noise pollution is a serious health risk in Bangladesh. In fact, noise pollution exposes millions of Bangladeshis to health risks ranging from heart attack to deafness. Loudspeakers, factories, construction sites, and vehicles can contribute to noise pollution on city streets. In congested city streets, the hydraulic horns used by buses, trucks, and scooters are hazardous.

Md. Shahab Uddin, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, said, “Government employees should work sincerely to implement all the promises of the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said these things in the president’s speech by joining virtually in the annual development program progress review meeting of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

The minister said that to control noise pollution, such displays and banners should provoke people to think. Effective measures should take to ban hydraulic horns in vehicles. Along with creating awareness, legal measures should continue through mobile courts.
