Millions of young climate activists have gone out in cities all over the world to protest against rising heatwaves, carbon emissions, and the serious effects of climate change.
On 2 October 2026, the ‘Global Climate Strike’ took place in big cities around the world and in parts of Asia affected by climate issues. Ahead of the upcoming UN climate conference, COP31, the youth delivered a stern message condemning the procrastination of industrialized nations and the delays surrounding climate finance.
Core Demands and International Framework: During these protests, young activists presented specific and firm demands to world leaders:
Addressing Problems in Barind and Poor Areas: People want to focus on the climate problems hitting places with drought and salt issues, like Bangladesh’s Barind region, at the COP31 conference. Young activists emphasized that the voices of people in marginalized communities—who are the primary victims of climate change—must be powerfully represented at the table where international policies are formulated.
World leaders received a strong warning to stop giving large money support to fossil fuels immediately. They should use that money for renewable energy and local climate help funds.
The younger generation is now speaking up to save the planet from climate change. This growing voice puts a lot of moral pressure in global politics.
Green Page thinks that if world leaders ignore the youth’s demands and do not take real action soon, the Earth will be in big trouble later.
