A colorful bicycle rally was held in Dhaka on World Postal Day
Today is October 9, 2025, World Post Day. Like other countries in the world, the day is being celebrated in Bangladesh as well.
A bicycle rally took place at 8 am at the Post Office in Agargaon, the capital. The rally went through various important roads and ended at the Post Office.
Young men and women from different parts of Dhaka participated in the rally. The “colorful bicycle rally” was organized by the BD Tourist Cyclists and the Bangladesh Posts and Telecommunications Department.
Abdun Naser Khan, Secretary, Posts and Naser Khan, Secretary of Posts at the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Information Technology Ministry, (Bangladesh) led the bicycle rally, which was inaugurated by Faiz Ahmed Tayyab.
Special Assistant to the Chief Coordinator of the BD Tourist Cyclists, Aminul Islam Tubbus, Touhidur Rahman, President of Dhaka University Cycling Club, and various dignitaries of the country were present in the event*.
The theme of this year’s World Post Day is “#PostForPeople: Local services. Global reach.”
The speaker at the rally emphasized that post is more than just letters or packages; it is a reliable way to connect people globally and deliver services to their doorsteps. This serves as a way to spread awareness and deliver messages nationwide and internationally.
