Eco-Friendly Farming: Boosting Crop Yields with Cutting-Edge Technology
Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura in India, highlighted the need to use modern technology to increase crop production while preserving the environment.
He made these remarks recently while inaugurating a national-level conference on modern and innovative technology in climate-resilient agricultural systems and plant health at the College of Agriculture in Lembuchara, Tripura.
The conference took place in the College of Agriculture at Lembuchara and was organized by the College of Agriculture, the Indian Phyto-pathological Society, and the Academy for the Advancement of Agricultural Sciences in West Bengal.
Governor Nallu emphasized the crucial role of agriculture in India’s economy and society. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has launched many projects for the benefit of farmers.
The Governor emphasized the importance of adopting modern farming techniques to boost agricultural production. He supported using advanced technologies such as drones, AI, and robots for pest and disease control, while also ensuring soil fertility.
He recommended offering farmers regular agricultural training and encouraging them to cultivate spices and turmeric.
The Governor also recommended maintaining regular contact with agricultural science centers to bring the benefits of newly invented agricultural techniques and farming methods to rural farmers.
Governor Nallu emphasized that agriculture is crucial to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India to become a developed country by 2047.
