Goethe plant: A Unique Medicinal Plant

Its Scientific name is Bryophyllum pinnatum. In Bengali, it is also known as Pathor Kunchi (পাথর কুঁচি. It’s also called also air plant, cathedral bells, life plant, and miracle leaf.
It is one of the most important medicinal plants that has been used in medicine since ancient times. It is one and a half to two feet in height. The leaves are fleshy and smooth, much like an egg.
There are small round grooves all around. From this groove, new seedlings are born. Many times when the tree is old, seedlings grow from the groove of the tree. Seedlings can be obtained easily by leaving the crushed leaves on the ground. Goethe plant trees overgrow in gravel soils.
It is one of the most useful in rural medical treatment. According to medical scientists, Goethe plant leaves are especially helpful in various diseases, including kidney disease. 1.Removal of kidney stones
Goethe plant leaves help in removing stones of kidney and goiter. Chew 2 to 3 leaves twice a day or drink it.
2. Flatulence
It often sees that the stomach is swollen, urine is stuck, the air is not moving; in that case, one or two teaspoons of Goethe plant leaf juice should be heated with a little sugar mixed with a quarter cup of water. This will make the urine liquid; air will also be emitted and reduce flatulence.
3. Winter Rash Boils
This types of disease appear in different parts of the body due to cold. Which is called Winter Rash. If one teaspoon of the juice of the leaves of Goethe plant is taken in the morning and afternoon for a week, it’s beneficial.
4. Hemoptysis
Bleeding due to biliary pain can be cured by taking one teaspoon of Goethe plant’s juice twice a day for two days.
5. Epilepsy
In the case of epilepsy, 2-10 drops of Goethe plant juice should be given in the mouth. If it’s got a little in the stomach, it will cure the disease.
6. Cold
The cold is old, in which case it is especially useful. It should be heated a little by squeezing the Goethe plant, and in the hot condition, it should be mixed with a bit of fried borax. Take 250 mg with three teaspoons. Take two teaspoons of it twice a day in the morning and the afternoon to cure a common cold and always get relief from cough.
7. Children’s abdominal pain
If the child has abdominal pain, 30-60 drops of Goethe plant juice massaged in the abdomen relieves the pain. However, abdominal pain must be confirmed.
8. Skincare
Goethe plant leaves contain a lot of water, which is very beneficial for the skin. At the same time, it can reduce inflammation. For those who are aware of the skin, they can apply Goethe plant leaves on the skin. Acne and pimples will also go away.
9. In the cut or crushed skin
The fresh leaves warmed in a light heat are comfortable for an amount or crushed skin if applied as a thin massage

11. Cure jaundice

12. Cholera, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea
Eating the mixture of 3 gms of cumin seeds and 6 gms of ghee with 3 ml of Goethe plant juice or a few days will give relief from those diseases.
13. Body burns
Two teaspoons of Goethe plant juice mixed with half a hot water cup should take twice a day.
14. Insect bites
When poisonous insect bites, if the juice of this leaf is boiled in fire and applies,
it will be helpful.
15. High blood pressure
It controls high blood pressure and relieves bladder problems.
