Spain has been Submerged in Just 24 Hours of Rain

COVID-19 has made Spain the country of death. This country is now fighting against floods. Over-raining has caused this sudden flood. Storm Gloria has ravaged Spain with heavy rain and violent winds. After 1976 it has never rained so heavily in 24 hours in the last 30 years. Most parts of Spain have been submerged underwater.

A submerged car is seen on a bridge over the Nepean River at Cobbitty on February 10, 2020 in Sydney, Australia.

According to the information of The Meteorological Office of Spain, total rainfall of 4 months occurred in just 24 hours. And Eastern Spain has drowned in this 24 hour of rain. In the capital of Castellon province, Spain, about 170,000 people have been affected in various ways due to this heavy rain.

Alicante saw half of its average annual rainfall in just one day as more than 150litres of water per square metre hit the area

At this time of the year, the usual rainfall is 42 millimeters. But this time it’s different. Because there was 147 millimeters of heavy rainfall in just 24 hours, from 31st March to 1st April. On the other hand, moderate and light rainfall continues. All of this together has created this flood in the Eastern Spain.
