Sundarbans Tiger Census 2026: Record number of tigers and ecosystem recovery

The Forest Department, Bangladesh, made a historic announcement on World Forest Day, March 21, 2026. The final results of the 2024-25 Tiger Census show that the number of tigers in the Sundarbans is now 205. This is the highest number ever recorded.
