What is Coronavirus (COVID-19)?

This is a member of the Coronavirus family that has never been seen before. Like other coronaviruses, it has come from the animal’s body.

It first appeared in Wuhan City, China on November 2019 and out of almost 200 countries in the world, 199 countries are already infected by this virus at this moment (Date: 01/04/2020, Time GMT:09:05 and BD Time: 15:05).

How do I understand if I am infected with this coronavirus?

COVID-19 Coronavirus Symptoms of this virus are similar to pneumonia. Peoples who suffer from the diseases have a cuff, cough, and difficulties in breathing are the symptoms. Since it is a viral pneumonia virus – antibiotics do not work in this disease.

Even the medicine we use to treat virus fever also does not work, and no vaccine has been discovered so far. The health of an infected person depends on the strength of the immune system. The higher of immune power, the more possibility to recover.

According to the National Health Service of the United Kingdom (NHS), if any of the following COVID-19 Coronavirus Symptoms appear to be infected with the disease, then it is understood that they have been infected with the virus:

→ Extremely high temperatures – touching the front and back of the chest will feel extremely hot.
→ There will be endless cuffs and coughs – this means that the infected person will continue to cough.

If the body temperature rises or cuff/cough appears – should I be a doctor’ s refugee then?

No, the UK National Health Service Center recommends that anyone with symptoms of the virus should stay at home for at least 7 days.

And if anyone else lives in the same house with them, they will have to stay in the house for at least 14 days to prevent the virus from spreading outside the home. If anyone comes from abroad, they should stay at home for at least 14 days.

If the COVID-19 Coronavirus Symptoms last longer than 7 days after the symptoms of coronavirus continue to worsen and the condition worsens, the urgent need to contact the government-designated Coronavirus health care center.

Coronavirus

We still don’t know how deadly this new Coronavirus is and how much more dangerous it really is until we get more information. However, data analysis so far shows that the virus is most infectious, but the human mortality rate is much lower than other coronaviruses.

The mortality rate in this virus is much lower than 1% in younger people (0.0% for age from 0 to 9 years, 0.2% for age from 10 to 39 years and 0.3% for age from 40 to 49 years) and is similar to 3% in adults and those with other diseases.

It should be noted that the seasonal fever mortality rate is below 1% and every year it kills about 4,00,000 people worldwide. Another member of the virus (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome – SARS) has a mortality rate of more than 10%.

The other thing is that no vaccine has been discovered for the virus yet – which means that there are major problems for the old people and those who are suffering from other diseases such as heart and pulmonary diseases, respiratory and breathing problems. They should wash their hands frequently and stay away from contact with other people.

Is there any other Coronavirus on earth?

Yes, there is. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) are both family members of the coronavirus and both have come from animals.

In 2002, SARS spread to 37 countries and then created a global panic. The virus then infected 8000 peoples around the world, and 750 have died.

The MERS virus is not easily transmitted from human to human, but, it is more lethal, which caused 35% of death of the 2500 affected peoples.
