The color of sea water is gradually changing

When you think of the sea, the clear blue water floats in front of your eyes. But that scene no longer exists. Gradually the blue water of the sea is turning green.

Scientists say that the color of seawater is changing due to climate change. There is no doubt that undersea ecosystems have also changed due to climate change.

And that is why the color of seawater is changing. In recent years, the rising temperatures have caused significant shifts in marine life and resulted in the growth of algae blooms. These blooms, often green in color, contribute to the changing hues of seawater.

Scientists also say that undersea phytoplankton communities, microscopic photosynthesizing organisms and abundant aquatic food in near-surface waters are changing the color of the water.

A few researchers led by the chief scientist of the UK’s National Oceanography Center, BB Kael, studied seawater. They said, ‘In the last 20 years, the color of 56 percent of the global sea surface water has changed.

Analyzing the color data of the seawater the Moody instrument of NASA’s Aqua satellite, it has been found that the color of the sea seawater turning green.

In a research paper published in the journal Nature, the researchers wrote, ‘This is happening because of human-made climate change. This part of the color change is more than the total land area of the earth in terms of volume.

Although the area of discoloration is very large, it is so fine in scale that it cannot be seen by the human eye. But the researchers commented that it is having a big impact on the ecology.

The researchers have also warned that the change in sea color is a concerning sign of the health of our oceans, and it is essential to take immediate action to address the root causes of this phenomenon.

Furthermore, they emphasized the need for more comprehensive monitoring and conservation efforts to mitigate the effects of human-made climate change on marine ecosystems.
