Human chain at Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh, to save rivers and canals from the illegal occupiers
Heroic freedom fighter Sirajul Haque has organized a human chain in front of the municipal open stage of Akhaura of Brahmanbaria to save the river and canal, lost due to the occupiers.
An environmental organization called Akhaura Nature and Environment Club organized the human chain. The participants of the human chain carried placards with a different slogan. Such as ‘Nature teaches us, nature saves us,’
‘Implement Supreme Court judgment on rivers,’ ‘Kalandi canal is the lung of Akhaura return its water flow,’ ‘Rejuvenate and rehabilitate Jazi river.’
Speakers at the human chain demanded, “The traditional Kalandi canal of Akhaura should vacate and be waste-free so that the water flow of the canal gets normalized as before.”
The speakers claimed that various water bodies had been illegally occupied, including the Titas River in Akhaura. All the water bodies are filled with pollution, which will cause massive waterlogging. Ultimately, People will suffer.
