Tree saplings were distributed among the students to protect the environment
Bangladesh Green Orbit Association started its journey on March 8, 2024 by Mahbub Alam, a student of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, Dinajpur, Bangladesh.
The members of this environmental volunteer organization are all students of a specific area, namely Badarganj Upazila of Rangpur district. They have various initiatives throughout the year to spread environmental awareness.
The Bangladesh Green Orbit Association has already distributed trees to 33 educational institutions in two unions in Badarganj. Tajnoor Afroz, president of the organization, said, “We first select a union.”
As many educational institutions as there are within that union; Be it schools, colleges or madrasas, we deliver tree saplings to all the educational institutions. So, far our work has been completed in Gopinathpur and Radhanagar Union. We have managed to deliver saplings to all the educational institutions of the two unions.
Students distributed the tree saplings in June-July. 10 trees are given to each educational institution. Responsibility does not end with just delivery.
They conduct awareness programs among school and college students. Explain the need for trees, encourage them to plant trees.
