Two Black Kites (Bhubon Chil) of endangered species were rescued in Sirajgonj, Bangladesh

Members of the Environmentalist organization ‘The Bird Safety House’ rescued two Black Kites (Bhubon Chil) of endangered species at Shahjadpur in Sirajganj.

The two kites were later handed over to the Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Division of Environment Department on Sunday (9 February) yesterday.

Mamun Biswas, chairman of the ‘Bird Safety House’ said “on 30 January one Bhubon Chil from Ghorasal Charmatha and on 4 February another Bhubon Chil near Jamuna River of Jalalpur were rescued in sickness.

After provided medical care, those were handed over to the Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Division of Environment Department of Bangladesh.

Although many kites of different species have been living in the area, the number of kites in nature has declined at present. If we are all aware, wildlife will be protected.”

Jahangir Kabir, an inspector of the Rajshahi Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Department, said “ treatment would be provided for the two kites. After treatment, the two kites will be released back into the natural environment.”
