Ambulance service for pets launched for the first time in Bangladesh
Those who keep pets like dogs and cats at home have to worry all the time about their beloved animals. When they fall sick, finding the right vehicle to take them to the doctor often becomes a problem for them.
Keeping this in mind, Susthata, an NGO in Bangladesh, has launched a pet ambulance service for the first time in the country. They launched this service on February 15. This service will try to ensure that no pet suffers due to a lack of vehicles.
Angelo Afnan Hamid, chairman of ‘Susthata,’ shared that one of the scariest moments for pet owners is when their pets become ill. I had a pet dog. Since I did not have my own car, I had to rent a car to take the dog to the vet. Many drivers would not agree to take him.
They would say that they are not allowed to take pets in their cars. I have faced this situation countless times. That’s when I realized that pets, like humans, need a separate ambulance service.’
Mejbaul Amin, co-founder and CEO of ‘Susthotaa’, said, “This nationwide ambulance service can take your pet to the vet, whether it is nearby or far from the city. The service charges for this ambulance are the same as those for other regular ambulances.
He added, “Our goal is very simple-no pet should suffer due to lack of transportation. Be it an emergency or a routine check-up, we are always here to help. You can pre-book the ambulance service anytime at www.susthotaa.com. And for emergency services, you can call 09601 222 777.”
