Development should be eco-friendly: Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh
Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, directed to ensure the protection of the environment and said, ‘If any project has taken up, everyone should pay attention to the importance of the environment. The project should include the conservation of reservoirs, keeping sufficient green areas, and rainwater harvesting.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to take up all kinds of development projects and implement them by protecting the environment and surroundings.
The Prime Minister gave this instruction while inspecting the design of several development projects of ‘The Ministry of Housing and Public Works and ‘RAJUK’ at Ganabhaban, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Prime Minister observed the presentation of architectural designs of multi-storied residential buildings for government officials-employees in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of Dhaka, Sheikh Hasina International Convention Center at Shibchar on Jazira end of Padma Bridge, Conservation of Flood Flow Zone at Turag River and Compact Township Development and Keraniganj Water Front Smart City construction projects.
The head of the government further directed the concerned authorities to keep a watchful eye so that industrial establishments has not established everywhere.
‘Industries will be in specific industrial zones in each area. Unplanned industries cannot build anywhere. This matter should be looked at seriously,” the Prime Minister added.
The prime minister also emphasized increasing diversity in building industrial establishments, saying, “It is necessary to give importance to the development of industries related to agro-processing and IT devices.”
Sheikh Hasina also emphasized increasing exports and giving subsidies to small industries.
