Legal action should take against the people who cutting down the hills illegally- Environment Minister, Bangladesh

Md. Shahab Uddin, Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Bangladesh, said, “Legal action should take against those who cut down the hills illegally. Everyone should be vocal against the occupiers of forests, rivers, wetlands, and those who cut downhills.”

The environment minister spoke as the chief guest at a memorial, iftar, and prayer mahfil in memory of the late meritorious organized by the Jalalabad Honorary Youth Organization at the Jatiya Sangsad Residential Complex Convention Hall.

The Environment Minister said, “The Environment ministry is implementing various programs to develop the country’s environment. As part of this, tree plantations and relevant law enforcement are taking place across the country on a large scale.”

If people of all classes and professions spontaneously participate in these activities, the country’s overall environment will improve soon.
