The ongoing COP-28 Conference at Dubi is the biggest climate conference ever
A total of more than 84,000 delegates, including the heads of state of various countries, have registered to participate in the ongoing COP-28 climate conference in the United Arab Emirates.
A total of more than 84 thousand representatives, experts, journalists and rights activists from 198 countries and regions of the world joined this year’s COP conference.
According to the data, since the beginning of 1992, no previous conference of COP has been attended by so many delegates. The conference was started on November 30, 2023 and will continue till December 12, 2023.
The number of delegates participating in COP-27 held in Sharm Al Sheikh, Egypt in 2022 was 50 thousand. Only 4,000 participated in the first Cup-1 held in 1995.
During this conference, 22 other countries of the world, including the United States, pledged to reduce carbon emissions. They said that by 2050, the use of nuclear power will be tripled from the present.
In addition to the United States, countries pledging include Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Canada, France, Hungary, Ghana, Mongolia, Japan, Moldova, Morocco, Romania, the Netherlands, South Korea, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
