Wildlife rescued from Chandramahal Eco-park in Bagerhat, Bangladesh, was released into the Sundarbans.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) -6 Khulna and  Bangladesh Forest Department officials released a total of 17 animals of different species in the Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center area of ​​the Sundarbans East Forest Division.



Al Asad. Mahfuzul Islam, Superintendent of Police (SP) and Company Commander, RAB-6 Khulna Nirmal Kumar Pal, Khulna Divisional Forest Officer, Wildlife and Nature Conservation Department, Md. Mofizur Rahman, Fisheries expert. Azad Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center, and other officials of the Forest Department, Bangladesh were present.

There was a crocodile, two deer, three monkeys, two turtles, seven aigrette, and two Machmural birds among the released Wildlife.

On November 15, 43 wild animals of 16 species, including peacocks and pigeons, got were rescued from Chandramahal Eco-park at Ranjitpur in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila.

Nirmal Kumar Pal, Divisional Forest Officer, Wildlife and Nature Conservation Department, Khulna, informed that “The Department of Wildlife and Nature Conservation and RAB-6 rescued the Wildlife. Of the 43 wild animals, 17 will keep in the Karamjal of the Sundarbans and the rest will release at Safari Park, Keshabpur in Jessore and Divisional Offices of Forest Department.”



Azad Kabir, officer-in-charge of Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center, said, ” In various times Wildlife released rescued from poachers and traffickers in Karamjal area. After releasing, the wild animals live at their own pace in the natural environment of the Karamjal breeding center.

“Here we keep an eye on the animals so that they can return to the forest in a sound way. Hopefully, the animals in the Eco-park that were released will roam safely in the Sundarbans,” he added.

Al Asad Mahfuzul Islam, SP and company commander of RAB-6’s, said that” RAB-6 is working as per government guidelines to protect wildlife and nature. As part of this, a number of wild animals were rescued from Chandramahal Eco-park on the basis of secret information. The animals were later released in the Karamjal area of ​​the Sundarbans in the presence of Forest Department officials. The RAB will continue such operations in the future to protect the Wildlife.”
