Environmental awareness meeting for Industrial owners held at Narsingdi, Bangladesh
The District Administration and the Department of Environment jointly organized the meeting at Narsingdi District Shishu Academy Auditorium on May 23, 2023.
More than two hundred industrial factory owners, representatives, public representatives, and people of the society participated in it.
The speakers in the meeting said that the rivers and environment of Narsingdi are being damaged more by industrial waste. Even though there are waste treatment plants in the industries, these are not kept running, and the polluted water is discharged directly into the river.
Industrial owners are urged to be aware to prevent these pollutions. The meeting discussed using ETP to improve the environment, expanding industrial plants in the industrial district of Narsingdi, and its need to protect the environment.
Sheikh Mohammad Nazmul Huda, Deputy Director of the Environment Department, Narsingdi, presided over the meeting, whereas Abu Naeem Mohammad Maruf Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi, was the chief guest.
Narsingdi Municipal Mayor Amjad Hossain Bachchu, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mostafa Manwar, Additional Superintendent of Police Shamsul Arefin, Narsingdi Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Momen Mollah, former Principal of Narsingdi Government College Professor Muhammad Ali were present as special guests.
