Environmentalist Greta Thunberg has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She is still one of the world’s leading figures in the fight against climate change. Alexei Navalny, one of Russia’s anti-Putin movement leaders, and many others are on the list. These names are nominated by those who already have a track record of nominating Nobel laureates.

The individuals and organizations nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize are WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, outgoing US President Donald Trump, the media rights group RSF, and Belarusian opposition leaders Svetlana Tikhanovskaya.
On the other hand, members of the Norwegian parliament have nominated Navalny to establish democracy in Russia. Earlier, however, Navalny’s name was suggested by Russian academics. That is why the seal has been given. There are more names on this list.
The World Health Organization (WHO) staff who have worked in developing countries under the Covid-19 situation have been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Greta Thunberg has previously been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for her achievements.
However, the award was not received in the end. If Greta is awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021, it will be the second teenage girl to receive Nobel Peace Prize in recent times. Earlier in 2014, Pakistani teenager Malala Yusafzai jointly won the Nobel Peace Prize for her work on children’s right to education.
That year, Malala shared this rare feat with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian social worker. This time it may be Greta Thunberg’s turn. The Nobel Prize will be announced in early October of 2021.
