Venison Recovered in Mongla, Bangladesh

A joint team of Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Centre Patrol Outpost and Chila Mobile Patrol Outpost in Chandpai Range of East Sundarbans in Bagerhat raided the Chila area of Pashur River on 4 July 2020 morning and rescued 15 kg of deer meat/venison, four deer legs, and one head.
Meanwhile, forest rangers recovered a boat and two sharp weapons.
However, three poachers escaped.
Muhammad Belayet Hossain, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the East Sundarbans, said a joint team of Karamjal Wildlife breeding center patrol outpost and Chila mobile patrol outpost seized a boat in Pashur River at the Chila area on 4 July 2020 morning. And this misdoing was caught where the weapons and venison mentioned above were seized.
The Sundarbans Division has filed a case against Milon Sheikh, Shah Alam, and Uttam Biswas, three fugitives from the Chila area of Mongla Upazila in Bagerhat.
