Dhaka tops the list of polluted cities again
Dhaka has topped the list of cities with the most polluted air in the world. Dhaka’s Air quality index (AQI) has recorded at 218 at 8:09 am on Friday (January 13, 2023).
Switzerland-based IQAir, an Air quality monitoring technology firm, has released the Air Index. An AQI score of 201 to 300 considers an emergency with a health warning.
In this situation, children, elderly and sick patients advise restricting indoor activities and others outside the home.
India’s Delhi ranks second with a score of 217 on the AQI list. Thailand’s Kaohsiung is in third position with a score of 198.
An AQI score of 100 to 200 considers ‘unhealthy, especially for sensitive groups. Polluted air consists of aggregates of all types of solid and liquid particles.
Most of which are dangerous. Polluted air causes various diseases harmful to human health, such as life-threatening cancer and heart problems.
