Animals like monkeys are adopting new strategies to cope with the ongoing heatwave
An intense heatwave is going on. As a result, humans and animals suffer from this unusual heat. How will they cope with this heat? The maximum temperature has now touched 38 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
This temperature also represents the highest temperature in our Sylhet region. The human body quickly feels uncomfortable at the running temperature. Rich people can use electrical devices to remove the heat from the depths of their homes. But the poor have nothing to do instead of experiencing it.
This is how people have given their body’s uninterrupted comfort and bliss. However, animals? They do not have electrical facilities. So how do they cope in this heat?
Among all animal species, Monkeys consider intelligent and social animals. Amid these heatwaves, they have cleverly developed a strange strategy to drive away the heat from everyone.
By nature, monkeys are furry animals. Due to that, they feel heat more than other animals. What they do to rescue themselves from the excessive heat is interesting. They would climb up a tree and jump in the nearby waterbody. They will remain in the water for most of the daytime to cool off.
They would play in the water to pass their time. They spend their morning and afternoon in search of food as those times the temperature is cooler than other times of the day.
