According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department and the Indian Meteorological Department’s mathematical weather model, rainfall is forecast in the next 24 to 72 hours in the northeastern part of the country, Assam and Meghalaya in India and the next 24 hours in the south-eastern part of the country.

As a result, the water levels of Surma-Kushiyara, Kangs, Someshwari in the Meghna Basin and Sangu, Matamuhuri, and Halda rivers in the south-eastern hill basin may rise rapidly at this time.

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast moderate to heavy rainfall in the next 24 to 72 hours in Sikkim and Jalpaiguri in northern India.

As a result, the water levels of the Teesta and Dharla in the north may rise rapidly.

However, it will not decrease at all and will appear even after getting stopped.
