Nagaland, India Cabinet Bans Dog Meat Finally
Animal lovers in India have long wanted to stop selling dog meat.
This time the animal lovers of Nagaland got the result of that long movement. The sale of dog meat has finally stopped in Nagaland. Not only that, the Nagaland government completely stopped the export of dog and dog meat from the state.
On Friday, Nagaland Chief Secretary & Finance Commissioner Shri Temjen Toy said that “the Nagaland government had decided to stop the export of dogs and dog meat altogether.”
As a result, dog meat can no longer be sold raw or cooked in the state. In addition to ordering the closure of these meat markets, the commercial export of dogs has been completely stopped.
A recent cabinet meeting chaired by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio decided to stop selling dog meat.
