Fifteen individuals and institutions won the BDSI award this year

The list of current year Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation (BDSI) award winners published recently. In this global competition for digital social innovation, 8 individuals and 7 institutions won in 15 different categories.
The list of winners was published on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The application process started in early May this year and the selection process was conducted in three stages.



The event was worldwide, 152 individuals and organizations were nominated for this year’s competition. From there, the list of the winners in 15 categories has been finalized.

The name of the institutions, organizations, and teams who won the Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Award, 2021 are:

  1. Liter of Light, Bangladesh (Best Innovative Idea)
  2. Engineers Hub BD (Integrated Community Development)
  3. Youngpreneurs Network (Volunteer Leadership)
  4. Keep Smiling Foundation (Social Inclusion)
  5. Study Booth-Learn Together (Online Volunteer Campaign)
  6. Bahnishikha- বহ্নিশিখা (Integrated Community Development) and
  7. International Youth Change Maker (Integrated Community Development)

The name of 8 individuals who have received the Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Award, 2021 are:

  1. Palak Sharma, Co-Founder of Green Governance Initiative Center, India (Volunteer Leadership)
  2. Alok Chandra Das, Founder of Anushilan Samaj Kalyan Sangstha (Integrated Community Development)
  3. Anika Shubha Ahmed Upoma, President of Evolution 360 (Volunteer Leadership)
  4. Sahestu Abida Bhirawasi, Lead Founder, Young CEA, Indonesia (Volunteer Leadership)
  5. Sajia Afrin Sultana, student (Integrated Community Development)
  6. Md. Mohsin Muntasir , Captain Bangladesh Wheelchair Cricket Team (Volunteer Leadership)
  7. Moon, Brand Manager, Akij Food (Social Inclusion)
  8. Syeda Nazneen Ahmed Silvi, Student (Volunteer Leadership)

Md. Ali Akbar Asha, President of Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Forum (BDSIF), said, Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Forum serves as a partnership platform for sharing the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. We inspire young people to work for social change and achieve sustainable development goals by honoring technological social innovation work.

Ali Akbar said the final winners of this year’s event would have the opportunity to migrate to the developed countries at half of the cost through scholarships, fellowships, and sponsorships. The winners will be able to take this opportunity by filling up an assessment form in the next step.

Sharif Mahmud, secretary of BDSIF, said, Bangladesh and Canada will officially host the awards ceremony on the 11th of July, 2021. Ibrahim Hossain, Vice President of the organization in Bangladesh and Md. Ali Akbar Asha, President of the organization in Canada is in charge of this event.
