The consequences of melting ice in the North and South Poles can be devastating
Global warming is increasing due to climate change. Scientists say that if we do not keep the rate of global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2050 according to the Paris Agreement, the global environment will reach a state from where there is no way back.
The rate of global warming refers to how much the global average global warming is now higher than it was at the time of the Industrial Revolution in Europe. Everyone should be careful about holding it within one and a half degrees by 2050.
This is not possible without the joint efforts of all countries. By burning fossil fuels, including coal and oil, we are producing industrial products, generating electricity, and on the other hand, deforestation.
The amount of carbon dioxide in the air is increasing. Global warming is on the rise. As the carbon dioxide in the air retains heat, the atmosphere’s temperature rises. Therefore, it is essential to reduce carbon emissions. We can do this by using renewable energy like solar power, hydropower, wind power, etc.
The problem is that although progress is happening in some areas, it is not possible to control carbon strictly. Many scientists have calculated that the average global warming rate has exceeded one and a half degrees.
Therefore, a great danger is on our way if we do not become aware of ourselves. If we fail to control the rate of global warming, scientists fear that the existence of life on Earth could endanger gradually after 2050.
