The deep depression of Bay of Bengal condensed into Cyclone Nivar

The deep depression that from in the Bay of Bengal turns into Cyclone ‘Nivar’. The Meteorological Department of Bangladesh’s bulletin issued the warning on Tuesday afternoon.

It said the deep depression in the South Bay and adjacent areas had intensified and turned into Cyclone ‘Nivar’ in the same area.

It knows that Nivar may become more concentrated and move towards the north-west. Boats and trawlers at Chattogram, Mongla, Payra seaport and Cox’s Bazar have asked to move carefully.

The deep depression located at 1,665 km southwest of Chattogram seaport, 1,610 km southwest of Cox’s Bazar and 1,555 km southwest of Mongla and 1550 km southwest of Payra seaport on Tuesday morning.

Within 54 km of the cyclone centre, the maximum wind speed is 72 km per hour. It is increasing upto 88 km in the form of storms winds. The sea is rough near the cyclone centre.

Although the cyclone hit the southern coast of India, it could cause rains in the coastal areas of Bangladesh. The sky may be cloudy in most parts of the country by its effect, and such cloudy weather may exist till next Thursday. The cyclone could hit the coastal areas of the southern Indian states of Andhra and Tamil Nadu.  A warning has also issued there.
