Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) Picked Saima Wazed as Thematic Ambassador

The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) has nominated Saima Wazed, chairperson of the National Advisory Committee on Autism and daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, as its thematic ambassador.

In addition to Saima Wazed, the forum has nominated three more as thematic ambassadors. They are former Maldivian President Mohammed Nasheed, Philippine Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda, and DR Congo’s climate change expert Tusi Mpanu-Mpanu.

A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Bangladesh recently became the president of the Climate Vulnerable Forum, a platform of 48 countries at risk due to climate change. Bangladesh will fulfil this responsibility for the next three years and will talk about the countries that have suffered the most due to climate change.
